The ECR-IGAC-iCACGP Committee supports early career researchers (ECRs) in atmospheric chemistry by fostering professional development, global networking, and collaboration opportunities. It organizes events, promotes community engagement, and advocates for ECR needs within the broader IGAC (International Global Atmospheric Chemistry) and iCACGP (International Commission on Atmospheric Chemistry and Global Pollution) communities. Through activities like skills workshops, seminars, conferences, and engagement initiatives, the committee helps ECRs advance their careers and stay connected with global atmospheric research.
Key responsibilities include actively participating in regular online meetings, sharing input on projects, and engaging in collaborative efforts. Members can also take on optional leadership roles, such as supporting activities or representing IGAC/iCACGP at events, to further strengthen the community and its initiatives. The role is for an initial term of two years, with the possibility for renewal or further opportunities based on engagement and committee needs.
Explore our website to learn more about the committee.
We are especially seeking applicants from Australia, New Zealand, India, China, the Middle East, and Central and South America in this recruitment round. However, we warmly welcome applications from all regions. For this committee, we define an ECR as students and researchers up to 7 years post-PhD (excluding career breaks).
